A Legacy of Passion, Brotherhood, and the Road Less Traveled

In the heart of Hanoi, a legend was born. Cuong, a master mechanic and motorcycle enthusiast, has been a cornerstone of Vietnam's biking community since the late 1980s. Starting in a humble garage, his expertise in repairing Minsk motorcycles quickly set him apart. By 1998, he had co-founded the Minsk Club in Hanoi, creating a vibrant hub for Vietnam’s two-wheeled adventurers. His dedication and passion didn’t go unnoticed. Cuong’s mechanical genius was showcased on BBC’s Top Gear in 2008, where he built amphibious motorcycles for their now-iconic Vietnam special.

Since then, Cuong's Motorbike Adventure has become synonymous with immersive, expertly guided tours that cut deep into the heart of Vietnam’s wildest landscapes. From high mountain passes brushing the clouds to remote villages where time slows down, Cuong’s rides aren’t just scenic, they’re soulful. They reflect a deep respect for the land, its people, and the timeless rhythm of life on two wheels.

Partnering with Cuong is a true honor for the Adventureman's Guild. His wealth of experience and spirit of exploration align perfectly with our mission: to cultivate capable, curious, and courageous gentlemen of adventure. Together, we invite you to join us for a truly unforgettable journey, one that will challenge you, change you, and leave you craving more.

2026 Northern Vietnam Moto Odyssey: Ride with the Guild
Building on Cuong’s rich legacy, the Adventureman's Guild is proud to offer a 7-day, 7-night Far-North Off-Road Expedition.
A once-in-a-lifetime motorcycle journey near Vietnam’s border with China. You’ll ride a Honda CRF 250L through remote mountain roads, weaving through spectacular scenery and narrow trails that most travelers will never see.
This is an immersive cultural exchange, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of Vietnam’s northern hill tribes. Along the way, we’ll visit villages of the Tay, Lung, H'mong, and Giao peoples, sharing meals and stories, and sleeping in traditional stilt houses for three of the seven nights. The remaining evenings will be spent in comfortable guesthouses and small hotels scattered along our route.
Rather than wasting a full day riding back through traffic-heavy highways, our journey ends with a soft-sleeper train ride from Lao Cai to Hanoi, letting you relax in comfort while avoiding the honking chaos of buses and trucks. And yes, gin and tonics will still be served, because of course they will.
This expedition is planned for mid-October 2026, giving you time to prepare, commit, and train for a journey that doesn’t just fit into your calendar, it redefines it.
This ride is not a vacation, it’s a declaration. A challenge to step beyond comfort, into the unknown. It’s for men who believe that life is better when it's a little harder, a little stranger, and a whole lot more meaningful. With every mile, we trade convenience for connection, uncertainty for clarity, and routine for the thrill of not knowing what’s around the next bend.
This is what it means to be a gentleman of adventure. To ride beside brothers who’ve chosen the path less paved. To share stories over firelight and gin. To see the world not as tourists, but as travelers, curious, gritty, and alive.

“A man practices the art of adventure when he breaks the chain of routine and renews his life through reading new books, traveling to new places, making new friends, taking up new hobbies and adopting new viewpoints.”
